The Coved-19 pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges to many organizations, particularly art organizations. It has become very difficult, if not impossible, to predict when the current situation will change enough to conduct normal operations and assure the sustainability of the organization. As a result, the Board of Directors of Art Unleashed has voted to cease operations effective May 15, 2020. This means there will be no activities, classes or camps after May 15, 2020. We are hopeful that the mission of Art Unleashed can be resumed sometime in the future by this or another organization. Thank you all for believing in the mission and for believing in the arts.
Please, never give up on the arts.
Art for All Ages
We offer an array of classes throughout the year, including pottery wheel, watercolor, acrylic painting, drawing, and “theme” classes which focus on specific subjects like landscapes or music or animals. For younger students, classes are designed to allow them to focus on a particular subject matter, while exploring a variety of mediums and learn basic techniques for applying these materials. For teenagers, classes are designed to cultivate creativity, encourage artistic growth and improve the ability to express themselves in the visual arts, while continuing to build on skills previously acquired.
The Mission of Art Unleashed
Art Unleashed seeks to enrich the lives of students of all ages and abilities by using the visual arts as a vehicle to cultivate creative self-expression, improve artistic abilities, and enhance self-esteem in a safe and welcoming environment.
“Summer 2020 would have marked our 6th season of programming, and I have been honored to be a part of the growth that Art Unleashed has seen these last few years. We have welcomed over 1500 students into our classes and workshops since opening, and I am always excited to see the creativity that comes from within each of our students. At Art Unleashed, we strive to create an environment that promotes exploration and experimentation with a variety of art mediums, while also developing an individual’s artistic skills. Our staff has a wealth of knowledge that they are excited to share with each student that walks through our door. Although we have had to suspend operations due to the pandemic, we hope to offer classes again in the future.”
